"Hi! To anyone reading this, I just really want to share my experience here at Nikki Maar’s Salon! My daughter and I had such a pleasant girl time, while getting our hair done. Upon entering the space, we were warmly greeted. I waited a couple minutes for my hairstylist, Miladys, and as I waited, the owner, Nikki, offered me a beverage (I chose to have a nice coffee) and also, took a glance at my hair (I had just taken off my extensions, my hair is honestly at its worse, very dry and brittle) and gave me some information and options on what products I needed to bring my hair back to life. I even talked to her about the Moroccan hair mask, I have been using and instead of just trying to sell me the products she suggested, she explained why the product wouldn’t be effective for my hair type in its current state, she was professional about it and gave me an honest opinion. She was just overall, very informative and I loved learning how to care and tend to my hair type. The best thing is that the same treatment was offered to my child who has more of a kinky tight curly hair pattern. I must share, I’m a product junkie! I’ve tried endless products from kerastase, olaplex, Dominican treatments, and I can truthfully say her products were the most hydrating and nurturing! They are also chemical free which I loved since our hair is natural. I got my hair washed, then -steamed, it was my first time steaming and, it felt very luxurious!! I also had hair rollers and my hair was blow dried and styled, and after all, my hair was very soft and silky. When it came to my 6yo child, she usually complains when washing her hair because of the pressure you sometimes feel on the neck, however, at Nikki’s that was not the case. She’s fully equipped with a neck piece that provided extreme comfort! No cries or complains were heard from my child. This made my experience even more pleasant! If you have children then you know how frustrating it can be for a child to sit calm, while you’re also trying to be calm LOL I enjoyed how she thoroughly explained how to properly care for her curls. This whole visit was a learning experience for me. I now know how to use hot water, instead of cold, to open her curls, what products to use for her hair type, how important it is to dry the hair not just with any towel, but rather with a microfiber towel, and how to style her hair before bed to make it easier for both of us in the mornings! As you can see in the picture the hair style was so cute! Designer Heart shaped braids in the front! By the braider which unfortunately didn’t catch her name, she was very gentle :) Thank you Milady’s for styling and cutting my hair to perfection. Thank you Nikki for your expertise, kindness and for a wonderful experience. Most importantly ,thank you for taking the time to teach me how to maintain my baby’s hair, a lifetime gem 💎 I loved every second and the attention. Thank you, as well, for the kit we were given to upkeep with my baby’s hair, super grateful! My child was able to charge her iPad + connect to the Wifi. The environment was calm, clean and I felt very comfortable. We will be back and for sure will continue to purchase all of Nikki Maar’s hair products! xx Carmen Sue"
