"I visited Evara Spa this past Sunday and was one of the first clients of the day. I had booked for an Ocean Pedicure with Barbara which was lovely. After hearing that her following appointment was cancelled I quickly booked a further manicure with her as well as tagging extra services on with Erica who did a great job with my lip wax, eyebrow wax, and tint. Both were professional, attentive, and left me feeling pampered. As I spent over $140 worth of treatments, access to the upstairs spa facilities (infrared sauna, steam room, salt cave, showers and loungers at the terrace and down on the beach) were offered complimentary, which is a nice touch. It was lovely when quiet and then soon became very crowded. I used the salt cave and the loungers while waiting for my following treatments to commence. Unfortunately the infrared sauna was out of order. What held back my experience, however, was my interaction with the front desk. During my pedicure, a staff member entered the space and spoke to my therapist about me in front of me, rather than addressing me directly. It would have felt much more courteous to be included in the conversation. Later, at checkout, gratuity was added automatically without my input, and a valet parking charge appeared on my bill even though I had arrived by Uber. I always tip therapists well when I receive great service, and I would have preferred the opportunity to handle that personally. I share this feedback because the quality of the treatments were excellent, and with a little more attentiveness and courtesy from the front desk, the overall guest experience could truly match the high standard set by the therapists."
